以前習っていたパッチワークの教室にて
絣の布絵は作ったことがありました。
綿の素材の着物は扱いやすかったので
その後、絣に興味を持ちましたけど
古布っていろんな素材があるんですよね。
２５日の日に、初めてちりめんをはじめとする
古布を扱ったパッチワークの体験教室にて
作ったのがこのクレージーキルトです。

クレージキルトとは、型紙を作らずに
コラージュ風に布を縫い合わせて
仕上げていく技法です。
今回初めて挑戦しました。
簡単と言えば、簡単なのですけど
着物の色合わせが難しかったのです。
家にあった、白い額に入れたらとてよくなりました。
今まで縫いにくそうだから、と興味を
持たなかった素材の着物に初めて
視点がいきましたね～。
柄と色さえあれば何でも使えるんだとわかりました。
うーん・・・これで我が家に和布がますます
増えていきそうです(汗）
