10 グランドマザーズ　ファン

ファン（扇）のパターンは和のパッチワークにも
よく用いられるパターンです。
1920～30年代のアールデコの流行にともなって、
シルクやウール、ビロードなど豪華な布を使い、
つなぎ目に刺繍を飾ったものが残されているそうです。
クレージーキルトのような感じですね。

アールヌーボーの世界に描かれた、
アールデコの雰囲気は私の憧れる世界でもあるので、
アールデコのイメージのある作品にも
挑戦したいものですね。
