スプリングコンサート

昨日は長女の中学において初めて
吹奏楽部のスプリングコンサートを行いました。
その２日前に職場でそのコンサートの話を
したときに同じ職場の娘さんが
うちの娘の吹奏楽部の顧問の先生の教え子であり、
その時の中学の吹奏楽部がまた全国大会にまで
何度も出場した輝かしい経歴を持った中学と
なった話を聞きました。
その娘さんがその時のクラブ活動がきっかけで
東京の音大に入り、今もユーフォニアムを
吹き続けているとのこと。
音大に入るのに、専門的に習っていたのかと思いきや
学校の吹奏楽部で習っていただけと言っていましたが、
顧問の先生自身がユーフォニアムを専門としていたので
基礎をしっかり身につけていたのでしょうね。
昨年の春入部したばかりの１年生がレギュラーの半分を
しめるような小さな学校なのですけど、昨年は
ほとんどのパートが、市のアンサンブルの大会で
金賞を撮りました。
そのくらい先生の指導力がすばらしいんですよね。
今回のスプリングコンサートも先生が一人が
企画されたのですけど東京からゲストとして
プロのトランペット奏者を呼んだり、
司会の方もプロ並の人を用意していました。
また県大会にまで進んだパーカッションのために、
金沢在住の作曲家にアンサンブル作品を委嘱して
作ってもらってもいたものを初めて聞きました。
子どもたちも先生が厳しいと言いながらも
楽しんで演奏しているようでした。
それこそが先生の指導力のたまものなのだなと
思いながら、演奏を楽しみました。
MIDIにしてお聞かせできないのが残念でしたけど
一人一人の演奏は、まだまだ未熟ながらも
アニメメドレー「ハウルの動く城」のあの壮大なメロディーの
演奏は、アニメのバックにて演奏しても
おかしくないくらいまとまっていましたよ。
